Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 18, 2012) – PHG Energy announced today the purchase of intellectual property pertaining to energy conversion technology from nationally recognized scientific development corporation Associated Physics of America (APA), and the hiring of that company’s research, manufacturing and administrative personnel to bolster PHG Energy’s plans for growth in the sale and installation of waste-to- energy gasification and power production systems.
“We are very pleased for the opportunity to purchase exclusive rights to the processes and methodologies Associated Physics developed related to downdraft gasification equipment,” said PHG Energy President Tom Stanzione. “Advancing the development of the product and its many applications is a major part of our plans for the future.

This group has worked closely for years in scientific research, product development, manufacturing and installation. For PHG Energy to bring such a quality team on board together is truly remarkable.”
PHG Energy, based in LaVergne, Tenn., was formed in 2010 to develop sales, manufacturing and installation capabilities for the state-of- the-art gasification technology created and commercially vetted by APA.
PHG Energy’s gasification systems provide a non-burning thermo-chemical process in which waste materials or renewable biomass is economically converted to a fuel gas with combustion properties similar to natural gas. That fuel can be utilized for thermal applications, such as kilns or boilers, or used to produce electricity through either reciprocating engine or other types of generators.
Under the asset purchase agreement just completed, APA’s research and manufacturing facility in Greenwood, Miss., will continue to operate as an important component of PHG Energy’s ongoing product development and testing program.
