Steve Lainhart
Steve Lainhart’s 28-year record of achievement with both Thompson Machinery and Thompson Power gives Aries Clean Technologies the management and project coordination experience necessary to combine various components of industry-specific strategies and marketing for the company’s gasification systems.
As General Manager of Thompson Power for the past 15 years, he has directed sales and customer service operations in Tennessee and Mississippi through 11 field offices. Under his leadership, the company has developed a high level of specialization in tasking onsite generator capacity for health care and data emergency backup and for utility distributed generation and end-user load management.
Starting with a core generator business in healthcare markets, which demand both sophisticated control capabilities and 24-hour service response, Mr. Lainhart has leveraged Thompson’s system design and service experience into industrial processes, communications, water treatment, data management, universities and utility applications.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and has taught mechanics and thermodynamics for Vanderbilt as an adjunct professor.
