Operating as the senior finance leader for Aries, Wayne Tencer brings more than 20 years of experience guiding accounting, finance, and risk functions across complex, highly regulated energy businesses. He has held CFO and senior finance roles spanning retail energy, power markets, and global operations, where he built high‑performing teams, strengthened internal controls, and delivered reliable, audit‑ready financial reporting.
Wayne’s background includes leading finance organizations through systems conversions, regulatory compliance, and major operational transitions. He has overseen planning, forecasting, and analysis across multiple business lines, partnered closely with tax, treasury, and audit groups, and served as a key voice on US GAAP, IAS, and M&A activity. Prior to joining Aries, he held senior leadership roles at Trimlite, Octopus Energy, Chariot Energy, Direct Energy, and Enron, where he managed revenue, cash‑flow modeling, and large‑scale financial system implementations.
Wayne holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is both a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner.
